Majella started her dancing career at the age of 6 years in Manchester for the Lally school where she achieved a successful dancing career including winning the North West Regional Oirechatas, feisanna championships and achieving Major championship and World championship medals.

Her other passion is music, so at the age of 17 she hung up her shoes and started to play music across the world. Over the last 15 years she has played at all major championships and local feiseanna. She has enjoyed playing alongside many of the greatest musicians in Irish Dancing and she loves to play from the heart. She has a great love for playing dancing music and in 2004 Majella teamed up with Ann Murray to release their first CD -- Getting Jiggy With It!

At the Great Britain ’s in sunny Pontins Majella found a new romance with Ciaron Brooks. With such a great love for Irish dancing Majella & Ciaron decided to take the shoes out once more and take their TCRG exam in 2006. Majella successfully achieved her TCRG with Honors, and enjoyed her first teaching experience in the McAteer School in Manchester with Marie McGuigan. Together they developed a great teaching relationship and achieved some great success together which was a great start to Majella’s teaching career.

In 2007 Majella moved to London and joined her fiancé, Ciaron in his family run school at the Brooks Academy. Together the family team of teachers teaches together in the established and successful school of open and beginners classes.
